As we have seen in this case of the coronavirus epidemic many businesses are closing and impacting on the economy, people are working remotely for the first time or are losing their jobs. Grocery stores are left with empty shelves while restaurants resemble are like ghost towns.
What do you think in this environment and situation, is it worth doing marketing?
The answer is “BIG YES”!
But it can happen in different ways. Because if you have started any kind of business, either it's small or big, but if you don't do the right marketing for this business it won't last forever. Of course the communication between the consumer and the employer should be clear and timely. Customers should be aware of your presence, how you do your business in this situation for example revised hours, online sales, distribution schedules and giving strategies (GIVEAWAY) etc.
Looking at the positive side of this epidemic, we knew it is a unique opportunity for all brands to come together!
The person who started their business should never stop marketing, no matter what the situation is. Create your own brand strategy. Highlight how your product can help. Brands are there to provide value, and products / services that help during this stressful time deserve the attention of those who can benefit from it. If what you are doing supports or improves people's lives while keeping other people, say that brand story.
It's time to communicate the benefits of your product with customers by creating useful content. As long as you keep focusing on helping people (and not getting behind them), your marketing should never stop.
So what are some marketing ideas and strategies that can work in this difficult time?
1: Never Stop Marketing:
I mean you knew that markets and malls were closed, and people weren't using it as before, but how do you know they're still planning for the future. For example when we talk about window shopping it happens, but now it's all ONLINE. You can create blogs, whitepapers, videos, podcasts, info graphics, electronic books and print, online courses, social media, memes and GIF and much more to bring great content to your viewers.
2: Play online:
If you know how to play online in this Covid-19 situation you are facing a win-win position. Just remain confident and connected with your customers through different social media platforms.
3: Content marketing:
This is just the right time to create effective and meaningful content to market your brand and product. Look at your analytics, get to know your audience and customer stories. And learn a lot from your competitors and content marketing vets.
4: Video marketing:
Since we are all stuck at home and spend a lot of time watching YouTube videos or maybe Facebook videos. Try to build your relationships with customers through descriptive videos and marketing videos. That is how people know about your brand presence.
5: Social Media Marketing:
Advertising your business on social media platforms is a good move now. Because people are on social media now while they are at home, scanning and trying to stay connected in one isolated nation. Keep up the sales tactics, use the research tool to compete with others. Make sure your business can be found online.
6: Hire Influencer to market your product:
While you cannot create ad campaigns in this situation it is simple to hire INFLUENCERS and market your product. They will bring your brand life, by simply giving positive reviews. People these days depends on the reviews, use Instagram platform and any social media platform to hire your influencer and use them to talk about your product/ brand.
